What Is A Webring, Really?
A webring is a simple way for like-minded sites to link to each other in a circle. Each site shows a small badge that lets visitors jump to the next or previous member in the ring.
Before algorithms and social feeds, this is how people found new corners of the internet, one independent site at a time.
The Indie Print Webring brings that idea back for today’s decorator world, with two rings, one for shops and one for suppliers that support them
Why Join The Indie Print Webring
For Independent Shops
Send visitors to other trusted indie shops when you are not the right fit, and get discovered by customers who are browsing the ring. It is a simple way to show you are part of a bigger independent network, not just a lone site on an island.
For Indie Suppliers
Help shops find chemistry, consumables, equipment, education, and software that is not tied to investor-owned rollups. When you join the supplier ring, you stand shoulder to shoulder with other indie-friendly partners instead of fighting for a paid ad slot.

The webring creates a small gravity well around independent print. When customers land on any member site, they can click around the ring and stay inside the indie world, instead of being steered to big platforms or marketplaces.
How The Webring Works

Join The Collective
Become a member of the Indie Print Collective as a shop or supplier. Membership is free, and we review each application to keep the ring indie-focused.
2.
Wait To Be Accepted
Once you receive an acceptance email from us, you’re ready to add the webring. We’ll include a link to your custom badge snippet so you can drop it straight into your site.
3.
Add The Badge
Paste the snippet into your site template, usually in the footer or sidebar. The badge will appear, and your site becomes part of the circle, sending and receiving visitors with the rest of the webring.

Add The Webring Badge To Your Site
Use whichever option fits your site best. In both cases, replace https://your-site-url.com with the public URL of your main site. The webring will only work for URLs that have been approved and added to the ring.
Make sure you select the code tied to your membership and based upon whether you're a shop or supplier.
Inline HTML badge (recommended)
This version shows a small badge with links to the previous, random, about and next sites in your ring. Good for most custom sites and CMS themes.
For example custom-built HTML/PHP, self-hosted WordPress with theme/template access, Craft, Kirby, Grav, Blocs, or similar directly coded platforms, etc.

No. Most members add it to the site footer or a single “About” page. The only rule is that it must be clearly visible and clickable wherever you place it.
The Indie Print Collective Webring has two loops that share the same badge. One loop is for independent shops, the other is for suppliers. When we review your application, we place your site in the shop ring, the supplier ring, or both, depending on how you join the Collective.
If your business genuinely serves both roles, yes. We may ask how you want to be listed so visitors do not get confused about what you actually do.
Update the URL in your webring code and let the Collective know. We will update the central list so the ring does not break.
No. The webring is specifically for independently owned shops and suppliers that align with the Indie Print Collective manifesto.
